'Sup internet?
Well, things have stayed busy on all fronts since my last check-in. The OCL website hit 95 members yesterday, which isn't bad considering we've only been in existence for just over two months and have had truly minimal advertising. I finished the new "cryptic" Stuck Mojo logo late last week. Overall it came out a hell of a lot better than I had expected. Of course, I haven't heard Rich's opinion yet - we've been playing a bit of phone tag all week. I still have to finish up the tour backdrop, but as usual I've had so much going on at once that things have been slower going than I would like. I was finally able to sit down and start mapping out ideas for the new Dissent logo, so this weekend I can run those by Tim, who can run them by the rest of the band. And I thought coming home would give me a chance to relax. HA!
In any case, the rest of my life has been pretty typical as of late. One car gets fixed, another goes down, that sort of thing. Good news is that I nailed down a part time job at the local FedEx loading trucks. Nice hours, no weekends, and at $10 an hour I'll have some decent money rolling in. The art gigs are a dream, but they don't pay the medical expenses I come with. I really have to laugh though. As I was sitting here not an hour ago, browsing around, catching up with old friends, I stumbled upon a certain group of people who've been making a few jokes at my expense. Normally, it'd bother me, but here's the thing - these people haven't seen or heard from me in almost four years now. I guess their lives are devoid of anything interesting if who they knew to be me is all they can talk about even now. Hey, even bad press is still press, you know? Some people just never grow up. That's why they're where they're at, and I'm where I'm at, and I'll just leave it at that for now.
